The successful candidate will be responsible for heading business development and sales for a custom software development company. The key role will involve developing and driving business strategy, identifying opportunities and qualifying leads while consistently closing deals. The right candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to deliver results and meet organizational goals. He/she must be able to establish a sales infrastructure and ultimately deliver results based on the company's goals and mission. The qualified candidate needs to have excellent communication skills, along with the ability to think outside of the box within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
Requirements:
- 10 years experience in Sales
- 5+ years in business development within the custom software development industry
- 3+ years in selling web based solutions
- BA/BS in related field (MBA preferred)
- Ability to plan and successfully implement strategies
- Ability to identify and develop new markets
- Ability to qualify leads, lead and motivate team to achieve targets.
- Ability to work alone and in teams
- Ability to develop and implement sales infrastructure
- Should possess good PR skills for accounts handling and relationship building
- Should have sound knowledge IT services and experience working in the IT industry
- Should have excellent communication skills
- Should have strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the workweek

- Experience targeting Institutions of higher education
- Experience with State and Government Sales
- Experience in leading and growing a sales team
- Have an existing network contacts in the South East
- Have an existing network of contacts in Metro Atlanta
